About our speaker, Kim McCarty of Positively Cleveland
Kim McCarty is the Vice President of Business Development for Positively Cleveland, the region’s convention and visitors bureau which promotes travel and tourism to Northeast Ohio. In her role, she works with the staff, Business Development Committee and members of the board to develop a departmental strategic plan that focuses on creating and implementing new programs and initiatives that generate revenue for the organization.
Prior to joining Positively Cleveland, she held the position of Associate Director of Corporate Relations for the Cleveland Museum of Art where her primary responsibilities included overseeing the Museum’s corporate membership program and securing financial support for their exhibitions, educational programs, and special events.
Kim was also the Communications Manager for FOX Sports Net Ohio. During her two-year tenure there, she worked with the regional media in creating awareness regarding the networks programming, marketing efforts, and community relations. Before her position at FOX Sports Net Ohio, she spent six years with the Cleveland CAVS and Gund Arena as the Manager of Corporate Services where she oversaw the development and implementation of corporate sponsorships pertaining to the team and arena.
